for his interpretations of the lyric tenor repertoire, Charles Castronovo is one of the most sought after performers of his generation. A New York City native, Mr. Castronovo has appeared with many of the world's leading opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera, Covent Garden (Alfredo, Ferrando), Paris Opera (Nemorino, Fenton), Vienna Staatsoper, (Nemorino, Tamino), Berlin Staatsoper (Alfredo, Ferrando, Don Ottavio), San Francisco Opera (Nadir, Tamino), Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa (Alfredo) and Los Angeles Opera (Camille). Mr. Castronovo has also appeared at some of the world's leading summer festivals such as Salzburg Festival (Belmonte), Santa Fe Opera (Ferrando) and Savonlinna Festival (Don Ottavio).
Mr. Castronovo has worked with some of today's preeminent conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, James Levine, James Conlon, Pierre Boulez, Leonard Slatkin, Richard Bonynge, Kent Nagano, Donald Runnicles, Mark Elder and Placido Domingo. In addition to opera, Mr. Castronovo has appeared on the concert stage with the London Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
